User Defined Carrier

You can add a carrier that is not in the FreightPOP list of carrier by using this function. You will need the carrier to provide rates that fits one of the templates listed in this section. The rates will be used to rate quote and process shipment only. You will not be able to track these shipment with in FreightPOP. This functionality is coming soon. Currently there are 2 templates that are provided by FreightPOP that meet the standard best practices.

  • US Domestic: This sheets allows you to upload rates for any type of carrier with any type of service that rates based on a zip code to zip code bases. FreightPOP will use the SHIP FROM zip code and the SHIP TO zip code to rate the shipment using the rates uploaded using this template for a given carrier. Note that when rate shopping a specific SHIP FROM zip code and SHIP TO zip code combination, if the rates uploaded don not have that zip code combination, there will be no rate returned.
  • International Freight Forwarder: This sheet allows you to upload rates for Air and Ocean Freight Forwarders. FreightPOP will use the SHIP FROM city and country and the SHIP TO city and country to rate the shipment using the rates uploaded using this template for a given carrier. Note that when rate shopping a specific SHIP FROM city and country and SHIP TO city and country combination, if the rates uploaded don not have that ship to city and country combination, there will be no rate returned.
